Activities for Spring and Spring Vacation in New England Spring 2019

It's been a long winter, but as it's starting to warm we can definitely feel spring in the air. Here are some activities to get you out of the house and enjoying the spring.

You can visit the Roger Williams Botanical Gardens in Rhode Island. During April vacation week, we go there to enjoy the many fairy gardens throughout.

Tower Hill Botanical Garden has a field of more than 25,000 daffodils that comes into bloom in late April.

You can pick your own tulips at Wicked Tulips in Johnston RI. While there, plan for a picnic and enjoy the scenery — and don't forget to take beautiful pictures with your little ones or a date with your loved ones. Seraphine Photography will be hosting a series of Mini Sessions at the Wicked Tulip Farm so visit our website to get information on how to book a professional photographer for pictures at the Tulip Farm..

Plan a day out at the Boston Public Gardens and be sure include a ride on the Swan Boats.

Spending the day exploring the zoo is a sure way to have fun. We love Franklin Park Zoo but also truly enjoy Buttonwood Zoo in New Bedford due to its small size. Whenever we want to make it short, though, we spend it at Trailside Museum in Milton, which has some otters, owls, fox, deer and several other birds.

Discovery Museums in Acton encourages kids to go outside and play in its new Discovery Woods space.

Everyone knows Edaville for its vintage trains, but there’s so much more to see in Carver now, especially a whole new theme park dedicated to Thomas the Tank Engine.

Enjoy a picnic at Arnold Arboretum on Lilac Sunday, which also happens to be Mother’s Day.

For those looking for the perfect natural setting, take photographs of your family with cherry blossoms in the background at Arnold Arboretum or along the Charles River in Cambridge, MA.

Wherever you find your fun, be sure to soak up some of the sun and get your family outdoors this spring!

Happy Adventuring,
